New Year, Better Version of Me

New Years Resolutions are a commitment we all make to ourselves knowing that somewhere in the year we are going to revert back to our old ways. Unless you are in that elite group of overachievers that can just go out and be great all the time, you know what I’m talking about. You end the previous year with the mindset of “Next year I’m going to be on my best fitness game ever, I’m going to the gym everyday, and eating good.” However by the end of the first week of January you cannot resist the call of the fast food line and by the time February comes the staff at the gym don’t remember who you are because you aren’t there.

I vowed to make this year different, by creating small mini goals that all tie into a larger theme. I simplified life down into ten categories: Home, Spiritual, Health, Relationships, Financial, Professional/Entrepreneurial, Educational, Travel, Philanthropic, and Beauty. From there I broke down 1-4 mini ATTAINABLE goals, and found an accountability partner for each category to help me along the way. In my planner I have a set of these goals posted each month so as I plan whats to come I cannot forget what I have to achieve.

I have found that this keeps the feeling of intimidation when it comes to making these big 180 turns low, and I am able to do more things. This is not to say that there will not be deviations throughout the year, I mean let’s be honest LIFE HAPPENS. But trying to life my BEST life and live my BEST year (yet) is all I can do. In winning I want us all to win, so my dear friend. How are you doing with your 2018 goals, and what are you doing to make sure that you are setting yourself up for success? If you need help getting back on track shoot me an email and let’s talk. Let’s all build and win together!
